Video Card for high resolutions?

Hi All, just bought me a Samsung 26" LCD and loving it. My 8800GTS 640mb seems to be a little chuggy with the higher resolution. What would be a couple upgrade options for running 1900x1200? Any information is appreciated, I have been using Nvidia, but I'm not set in stone on that. Using an Antec True Power Trio 650 watt power supply, and don't really want to have to upgrade it.

8800gts 512 is the best contender, can beat a gtx and even an ultra when oc'd.

Because its a revision. It has a newer GPU.

Definately the 3870X2 the 8800GTS 512 starts to choke up at those resolutions.
