I dont even know why im posting it here. I just like making topics. lol. But anyway, im making a rig for a friend who is on a $600 AUS budget for a gaming pc. Heres what i whipped up. And no, he cant afford a 8800GT so dont reccomend it.. lol. You guys and your 8800GT's....

Anyway:

Motherboard - M2N-MX SE -------------- $59
CPU - AMD Athlon x2 5000 ------------- $124
RAM - 2Gig 800mhz DDR2 Transcend ---- $45
Video Card - 512mb 9600GT Gigabyte --- $239
Case&PSU - RD Performance ------------ $49
HardDrive - Maxtor SATA 160gb -------- $58
DVD Drive - SONY SATA DL DVD-RW ----- $35

TOTAL -------------------------------- $609

And yes its using a stock PSU but he doesnt care and his budget is already $9 over...
PS: If your going to reccomend something use this parts list: http://www.msy.com.au/Parts/PARTS.pdf - if its not there then forget about it because i only want to shop at that shop.

where did/are u order those parts from. there way overpriced, for canada (which prices are about 30 more then america's new egg you can pick up a 9600gt for 170. you should look into better places to buy

>Insert sad face that i always give to that question here.<

Its in Australian dollars, and all Australians will back me up in saying tech is expensive over here. We have nothing like NewEgg or TigerDirect.

Im telling you, the first person to make an Australian site similar to NewEgg is gonna clean up and retire after 1 year of operation.
