It doesnt just use USB, it uses a portable type of PCIE slot.

So to use it you'd have to take apart your laptop and hook it up? Because magically turning usb bus into pci-e bus doesn't sound... possible.

Chris perillo did a review of a USB graphics card, more powerful than a intergrated laptop gfx card. When i get home i will find a link for it, but if you need to look for it now look under his youtube channel an you will find it (posted some time in december i think).

no it's not, it's an interface that piggybacks on either USB2.0 or PCI-e bus, see ExpressCard - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

the express card interface only uses a single PCI-e lane anyway so it's not exactly going to provide stellar performance.
