But seeing how the e1200 and 3600+ overclocks, wonder if this will be a good buy? Lowest continued form on A64 x2 is the 4000+ and @ $57 whilst the e1200 @ $60

These lowest end dual cores are usually just renamed higher end cores where the memory for the cache tests as faulty and is simply deactivated. It's probably available only in China right now because there isn't much of a US market for chips like that.
