ati announced it already...2 teraflops of power

i wanna say its a rumor just like how the nvidia card was suppose to come out in dec...but if ati actaully announced it then i guess it isnt.

But it really sucks how these new cards have been jus pouring out my nvidia and ati....hard to make a decision.

lol too late, cant refund. Plus, Amd gt player is interested in getting it. As for ebay, never dealt with it, probably wont for a long time. I rather look for ppl here who want it.

I highly doubt your going to see a 100% increase in performance.

Going from a 7800gt to a 8800gtx is about a 100% increase, a month old card is not going to go out of date that fast.

but the thing is...the 3870 is basically the R600...the 4870 will be the next real card as it has loads more shaders, higher clocks, and DDR5. If they aren't lying about the 1 teraflop performance from the single 4870 then that's deffo a 100% increase in performance

at this point its all just speculation.

I would make plans until we see some kind of confirmed specs and or benchmarks.

well my plans are to pick up another 3850 512mb once the price drops kick in over here.....2 of these in crossfire at 930-950mhz will be more than enough power for awhile.

Will be my first dual-GPU setup so we'll see how I like it.
