q6600 will last your computer longer
only get an e8400 if you plan to upgrade your processor in the next year

what's wrong with the e8400? It has more l2 and its 45nm.

Both are excellent processors, it just depends when one will upgrade next.

If I knew I was going to buy another processor in the next 6 months I would have waited and purchased the E8400.. Since I won't be upgrading for a long time, Q6600 it was.

microcenter baby, thats where they're at. there are a few at the MC by my house send me $190 + tax (8.25%, dang texas tax) + 5% + shipping and i'll hook you up lol

but i'd just get a q6600 for $10 more..

****, thats the only reason i would want to live in the us, there prices are so low. the Q6600 just went down from 299.99 to 284.99, and at microcenter in the us there 200.00, that sucks.
