Mobo buying question.

I have the 680i SE atm, my specs are in my sig. I am thinking of buying bigapl's mobo.

The reason for this is the 680i SE does not support quad core overclocking...

Would bigapl1's mobo be a good quick fix/good fix for my oc'ing needs?

Not sure. The 650i that i had while my board was in RMA was a hunk of crap. Personally i just steer clear of anything that isnt top end anymore.

Hmm, we'll why was it a hunk of crap? I think what i will end up doing is this...

Buying this mobo.
Sell my 680i SE, and survive with the 650i for a while.
Look for a good deal on a 780i.


But if the 650i serves it's purpouse then i wouldnt up it to a 780i...


I dont think the 650i has good sli support because isnt the 680i 16x for each card? and the 650i would be 8x? thats quite alot less performance :/

Ya, the 650i is 8x/8x, at least the one i had was. I say it was crap because i couldnt overclock AT ALL. No matter what combination of settings i used, it would fail to boot and i had to reset the cmos jumper.

I think i will have to not buy this, i reserached a bit, and I think the best move is to save up for a 780i.
