I am considering to build a computer my self, for gaming and Linux 64-bit. But at the same time I have a limited budget.
If anyone of you have good ideas or can see that some of my choices are bad or could be better I would appreciate any help.
This is what I have come up with so far:

Motherboard:
ASRock - ALIVENF5SLI-1394, NVIDIA nForce 560 SLI, G-LAN, 8 Channel Surround Audio, SATA RAID, FireWire, PCI-E, Dual DDRII-667/800, Socket AM2

CPU:
AMD - Athlon64 X2 4800+, 2.5GHz, 2x512KB Cache, 0.065 Micron, Brisbane Core, Energy Effecient (65 Watt), Dual Core, Socket AM2, BOX

Harddisc:
Hitachi - 320 GB – SATA300 (Fluid) – 7200 RPM / 16MB - Deskstar T7K500

Graphics card:
BFG - GeForce 8600GTS OC (Overclocked), 256MB GDDR3, Dual DVI, TV-Out, HDTV, BFG ThermoIntelligence, PCI-Express, Retail

PSU:
NorthQ - NQ4775-500S Giant Thunder - PSU 500Watt, Lownoise 12-17 db, 24 pins, 140mm Fan, Dual PCI-E Connectors, 4 SATA connectors, Temp. Auto Control

Ram:
Corsair - Twin2X 2x1024MB DDR2, PC6400 DDR800, CAS 5-5-5-12-T2, Twin2X2048-6400

DVD-drive:
Pioneer - DVR-212, DVD±RWx18, DVD±R DLx4, SATA, Internal, Dual Layer, 2MB, White, Bulk

I am going to reuse an old cabinet and floppy.

I know the graphicscard could be better but this choice is also for financial reasons. Good enough?
What do you think?

What I am looking for is a good starting point for upgrading in the next maybe 6 months. My budget is about 4500 dkr which is about 900 USD.

My earlier mentioned suggestion would cost me about 750 USD.

My computer which I have used so far has crashed for good and was anyway a very outdated system. I have used it mainly for WoW, and older games, but I would like to prepare my self for games like warhammer online.

I find choosing a motherboard very hard work, since I have never done this before, and the choice of CPU was based on the fact of 2.5 GHz and 64-bit since I would like to use linux 64-bit on it.

Maybe it is to mixed demands at a to low price, but that's I was hoping to find a solution where I could upgrade later if I founc the need for it. So as said earlier, get a good base for it.

PS. The reason I want to buy a computer before I can afford something great is: I HAVE NO GAMING COMPUTER NOW
