Hey guys, yeah I am going with the 3.0ghz Intel e8400

I ordered that case yesterday, so it's all in process.

I may want to over-clock, I never knew it was so simple....

good choice, mine is running at 4.05ghz with no heat or anything. runs fasssst

.....This is starting to get a little too expensive.....guys I barely play any games just want to be able to handles CS:S really good....

Maybe we can take the price down 100 bucks off the total package....I really don't think I can justify spending 900+ on a computer, when something built for 500-600 will do me just fine.

Do I need two optical drives....can't I just get one all-in-one?

Maybe that 250gb hd is a little too bit, probably 100 would do me just fine....

Maybe I should wait for the Nivida 9 series...I heard it will be a lot cheaper and rival the 8800gt...

Also, I am happy with that motherboard, 89 dollars is pretty good. Maybe I don't need that 3.0ghz....maybe 2.4 would do me fine?

I know my processor is a Pentium D 2.93hgz.....but it's 3-4 years old lol

and that pentium is single core, not dual.

You dont wanna wait for a new gpu, they come out to often, just get one now. If you wait you will never get one.

You can get one optical, I only have one, never needed two. I just use an emulator

take one optical drive out
get a seagate 80gb HDD
the 9 series will not be cheaper than the 8800gt, but if you hardly play any games, just CSS you could get by with a 3850
get an e2200 and an arctic freezer pro 7 and overclock to 3.2

-ABIT IP35-E LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX Intel Motherboard
-CORSAIR CMPSU-450VX ATX12V V2.2 450W Power Supply
-ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro 92mm CPU Cooler
-Intel Pentium E2200 Allendale 2.2GHz 1MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor
-Crucial Ballistix 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit
-Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3250410AS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive
-SAMSUNG 20X DVD±R DVD Burner Black SATA Model SH-S203B

Well, this looks a little bit better. I guess I could venture into OC'ing if it comes. These parts total about 450 dollars....saving a lot on a 2.2 compared to the 3.0. Although it doesn't have 6mb cache....I don't use that demanding of games.

How is the on-board video with this mobo. Maybe a vid card can wait a few more weeks....maybe I should stop being so Jewish

And hey guys, I do appreciate the help. Knowledge is power, this is definitely helping me out.

You can get by with much cheaper RAM if all you wanna do is play CS and not overclock much if at all.

You can get 2 GB kits for under 30 USD.
