Sorry, I looked online and couldnt find anything, whats the max memory this thing can handle? What kind/brand should I get? What MHZ if it matters. Thanks, I want to put in over a gig (3X 512)

compaq web-site has never heard of a presario 6000, don't worry, they didn't hear of my old computer either.

well, the link that you gave me, it look like there isn't any other kind of memory for your computer.
however did you realise that its only 2 memory slots you have. so you can't have 3 x 512mb. but the maximum you can have is 2gb. so you can buy 1 x 1024mb and 1 x 512mb.
