awww..i don't want to be cheap. screw it, i'm gonna oc. I got to learn how to sometime.

But you are less likely to have to RMA the gigabyte board :p Right ste?

BTW the gigabyte boards usually dont need to be cleared if you mess up the overclock, so the reset cmos is basically unneeded.

Every part no matter how reputable kicks the bucket every now and then..

Wait, why would you even want a X38 board if you were not going to overclock...

Just get the cheapest 45Nm compatible board..

I am so confused now, I was making reccomendations because I missed the part about you not overclocking.. :/

you better oc!

Anyway, the Asus P5E is a great board....the Gigabyte X38-DQ6 is darn good too....and if you have deep pockets the DFI X38-T2R definitely gets my recommendation

The only thing bad about the dq6 is that if you DO decide to overclock and want a heatsink that requires a backplate, you cant use it on the dq6.

they selling at newegg yet? would be good for them to do so..
dfi boards have always been the top overclockers on all formats in the past, i just didn't see it on newegg.

I spoke to them through email and they are coming back in stock on the 18th this month. That is going to be my next board.

Sry to confuse anyone, but i wasn't planning on oc right away. The option to is nice since i will once i learn more about it.
