hm,, right, are u using ur own cooler? or that came with CPU?

as I have still this 3000+ (333 Bus) AMD in my use, and its cooler is made of copper (fins as well)

if u r using thermal paste (then first remove the previous with isopropyl alcohol.

then apply about half grain of rice (assuming u r using artic silver, whicn is a well recommended),

do not apply more than that, as told u earlier, that the surfacrs are never always perfecrly flat, so to fill in this gap, these thermal iinterfaces are used to avoid blank spaces.

the cooler i have right now is the 2nd stock one that came with the system. what i mean is that i called the company about my heating problem so they sent me a replacement fan, which is the exact same one

many new mobo's have bios update apps, to avoid the hassle of running through dos. I have an intel D865PERL and ran a program from intel to update, and it was done in a minute, with no problems.
