So, should I go with an e8400 setup then? Which motherboard would i choose within my budget that can handle better ram in the future?

Ok. Here is the revised version: https://secure.newegg.com/NewVersion/WishList/MySavedWishDetail.asp?ID=8395188

If anyone can check that and let me know if that is good to go, that would be great. The processor appears to be out of stock at NewEgg, not sure how often they get them in.

I am assuming the crucial memory that I selected, will be find running in 4 banks, obviously 1 gig per bank.

It was mentioned that I would need a 64bit OS, does vista or xp have any issues running in 64bit and does it still work with my various softwares. Optionally, will running 2gigs of memory vs 4gigs make any real difference?

Could I save a little by using 2 gigs, not that it really matters, but, is 4 a waste? I already have a Windows XP operating system, and have no 64bit OS, so that would be another expense.

Thanks for any feedback.

Very odd, its in the same location: https://secure.newegg.com/NewVersio...p?WishListNumber=8395188&WishListTitle=System

Can you try again? My budget increased by $150 today also. So with that said, what motherboard out of them all, would you select at $175 or below? Sorry to throw that out there, this just came in today.

Which one offers the best for overclocking and memory expansion, bus speeds etc for the money, from all the brands using the e8400.

So with that said, everything on that list stays, but, we are now looking for a motherboard in the $175 range.

Ah I see it, try now bro. Yeah, It appears i have a total of UP to $230 to put towards a motherboard now, so I am game for a nice one that can really boost the speed up now. I have seen where people are hitting 4.0ghz with that processor, so I am all ears of which one to do it with safely.
