ya u stole my topic lol but its all good. anyway i think its also that u got the se edition of the 680i. i read somewhere that that was was specially made for dual core cpu's and sucks with quads... i think it was a video review from tiger direct. what u might try doin is selling your quad and gettin the e8400. you would get a pretty good oc out of that

screw that, not after all the "zomg i got a quad core lol @ me" i've been doing.

I'd sell the mobo before i'd sell the cpu... it just would feel right... you know, the mobo goiving me problems and all.

But anyways i got it to 3ghz atm, and its running on 1.175V according to cpu-z... but in bios it says it is running at 1.21V

So, ill just keep putting it up in small increments of 5 i guess. so much for 1337 fsb

Example, I set my vcore as 1.3375 in CMOS, so thats what I tell people.

VID is reccomended vcore for your CPU @ it's stock speed.

Different from cpu to cpu, due to manufacturing processes.

well then that is my vid... and so far i am stable at 1305 fsb... I ran prime for 10 mintues lol, probably not long enough but at this point the fsb is kind of low right :/
