well if you want to shell out the money for a quad, I would get that. My e2180 does fine w/ music. But its about that time to get rid of it and go quad.

Money isnt really that much of an issue for me. I just dont want to "overbuild" anything but im reading alot of good things about the quad (s).

I would just get a nice e8200. Or for a bit less, an e6550.

Its more future proofing than overbuilding.

if u plan on keeping it a while i would go with a quad, a q6600 would prob be the best bang for the buck right now.

E8200 and E8400 might be out of his budget

E2200 is under $100 and it performs very well in music and video recording
