As always, you can do way better building one yourself.

I'm not exactly sure of the value in American $$, but I wouldn't pay that much. I wouldn't buy anything AMD, to be honest XD.

Shop around a little more. If you like the pre-built side, look into some bare bones (I don't know any of the good AU merchants). Otherwise, research research and research some more to build your own rig.

EDIT: At around that price, you could afford a laptop with the same amount of power in it. I've recently gotten into ASUS' G Series laptops, you may want to take a peek if you're interested.

Thanks for the replys, I had a look around and someone recommended this:

CPU: Intel E8400 $269
Mobo: Gigabyte P35-DS3 $131
RAM: 2x1GB 800 A-DATA $62
HDD: WD SATA 500GB $132

What are your thoughts? I can also pay an extra $70 and get it built and delivered :p

I would take the second one cause of the board and quad. I could careless about 4ghz clocks, I'll take an extra two cores. Can you substitute items, like the psu and ram? I would change those over.
