Adobe Acrobat 8

XPpro/SP2/IE7

Recently installed Acrobat 8, updated to 8,1,2 on my computer, but certain things went awry:

1. Standby would not properly close down
2. "Status" was disabled in Contrlo Panel/Network Connections
3. Comodo 3 firewall started behaving oddly,

Tried both System Restore, didn't work (rarely does, anyway) and unistalling Acrobat 8, but these peculiarities persisted.

Re-installed XPpro and all updates and my programs from raw drive and repeated precisely the same peculiar errors

Tried to get help from Microsoft and Adobe - useless.

Finally gave up and re-installed everything again except Acrobat and these problems have vanished. Help, Please?

Try Foxit Reader.

Hmm...I would update Adobe one more time just to see what happens and if that is the cause, sounds weird to me.
