if you have an ATI card just have on ATITrayTools and it does it

for nVidia cards, I think using FRAPS helps, but some games do have an FPS console

ok cool. I will have to look into that. I never know what mine are, I just know if they are good or not.

how do you constantly measure your fps?

Fraps, i dont like the console. It also allows you to take screenshots as well.

wow, I didnt know I was crushing COD4 so much, just went and played a level, I was 90fps almost the entire time. at 1900x1200 with 2x AA , no af. I cant wait for my new mobo so my cpu can run faster, and then I can turn on some more settings. I am too lazy to do it now.

Youve got a gts, what do you expect. Even an 8800gt can pull 90fps still at that res.

wow, af on half up (sliding bar) and aa on 4x still at 55.

and my cpu is only running at 2.0ghz because of no support for this cpu, so my mobo dropped the multi down to 6x... I cant wait for my maximus to get here!

Yeah, but you cant softmod newer Nvidia cards for openGL performance like you can an ATI. I know this isn't gaming oriented...but essentially you can get a $99 2600XT and have it perform on par with $1500 Quadro card.
