Altering a partition

Is there any way i can alter a partition to give another more space? I tried to do it through fdisk but to no avail. I dont want to get rid of my current C: or delete the entire partition.

GameGuru, you will need a utility like Partition Magic or similar. FDISK is a all or nothing utility.... as you have found out for yourself, it will not let you resize existing partitions.

Ranish I heard last time was sstill free and available for D/L off the net. Try it out... but i strongly urge you to back up any personal data first. I do not know how reliable it is as i've never tried it myself. I use PM at home.

i know alot of people that has used partition magic in the past, and had no problems, however, a few others had have problems.

but always backup before doing something risky.

Well i get to partition magic and i cant save my damn work, i have to pay $80 to do it, and ranish is way too crazy.
