haha me too...i've been reading nothing but threads about the Maximus..i've got an idea of where to start at.

only thing holding me back is my stock Intel CPU cooler

imma be doing some "stuff" with it though... that'll be a separate thread also.

Thats the 780i right? How much did you have to pay for it. I found it for 320 at that motherboard store whatever its called. Next time my 680i burns up, i'm probably getting that same board, then selling the rma

Edit, nm it wsa the evga board i was looking at. They had it for 230.

Maximus boards are X38 crossfire boards, not 780i SLI anyways.

I was thinking of getting the Maximus or the EVGA 780i for my new QX9650, but decided with the new gen in GFX cards on the horizion to wait and buy my new gaming laptop instead.

Nice board. When your done w/ it you can bring to the metal recycling center and get paid for all that freaking copper on it.
