Ok I just burned a disc containing this....

BOOT-DSK.ISO is an ISO image for a bootable CD-ROM containing
FreeDOS and Active@ Boot Disk utilities:

Active@ KILLDISK
Active@ UNERASER
Active@ Disk Image
Active@ Password Changer
Active@ Partition Recovery
Active@ NTFS Reader

I ran Active KillDisk for the HDD, and when I put the XP disc in after this was completed, it just said: Boot From CD : _ and nothing happened :(

Does it take a long time or something? Or Do I have to type something?

You may need to make a primary partition on your hard drive before installing windows.

Do you have windows 98 disk. If not I'll get you one and help you out in making a primary partition. Send me a PM with a email address ill send you a link to the file.

So you have a blank hard drive and the XP CD in, right?

Did you happen to press a key when it said 'Boot from CD_'? I know that sometimes when you have a bootable CD, you have to press a key to boot to it, or it will try to boot the HD, which you don't have anything to boot on it.

Now I'm getting this:

Boot From CD :
Disk Boot Failure, Insert System Disc and Press Enter

This is with the Windows XP disc in

Anyway here is a link to the boot disk.
Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem!

The link is at the bottom on the page that pops up.
You can extract the files to a floppy disk and boot from it.
Choose to boot without CDROM it's faster and you wont need it anyway.
When you get the the A: type fdisk after that you will have a list of options view all partitions to see what is on the drive.
If you have anything on there select option 3 I believe to delete partitions.
Then chose option 1 to make a active primary partition.
Then select yes all the way through and reboot.
I hope you windows disk is good. Try cleaning it.

It sounds like the disk isn't readable.

The disc is readable though...It worked yesterday when I began the install which I was never able to complete..

What do I burn to the Disc after I extract this?

Can I do the same thing burning it to a disc rather than a floppy? lol

I don't have a floppy disc drive on my computer.
