$600 upgrade

My friend is looking to upgrade his ram-cpu-mobo for around $500-600 and since I haven't been in the computer world lately, I was wondering what you guys would recommend. He already bought a video card, which is the Radeon 3870.

Motherboard- ABIT IP35-E

RAM - 2GB Ram

^^ agreed. a good choice would be some crucial ddr2-800 to be a little more exact on the ram.
