I just purchased this monitor the other day. I LOVE IT, there's no way I'll want something besides this monitor. It's huge, and helps me when I do work programming work for my customers.

There is just one slight issue, I'm not sure whats going on. On a black screen, I can see a DEAD pixel. I'm not sure if it is, because when I scroll on a black webpage it.. disappears. Even if I look hard, and I verified it with a few other people.

When I use Undeadpixel 2.2, and put on black-- it takes 2-3 seconds for it to appear. A dead pixel.. would be.. there all the time. I don't see it on any colors EXCEPT BLACK.

Now, here's the BEST part. I was able to take a screenshot of it. Yes, a screenshot. I know this is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE (unless im a super-l33t-sw0rdf1sh-h4x0r-th4t-us35-tr0j4n m4k3r 3.02!), and makes me sound completely INSANE.

What the ****** is causing this. I see it only on black, it's weird as ****. I attached a UNEDITED screenshot I took and saved in PAINT.

Now, I took a screenshot with UDPixel22 running. I pasted it into Paint, zoomed in, and uploaded it. I don't get this, it's actually creepy.

If you can take a screenshot of it, then it's probably not a dead pixel - it could be some sort of artifacting from your graphics card... I really don't know though, this all sounds pretty weird to me.

oh and I have this exact monitor as well - BEAUTIFUL

You can screenshot a dead pixel? WOW.

Lol, that's what I said! I guess I should say it looks like a dead pixel.

I have a 7900 GTX, and I do have issues in games (I posted about it before).

Are they any tests I can perform for my video card? Maybe I'll RMA it.. if I can :x

I don't have any PCI Express video cards laying around. How well would a ATI card work with a ASUS A8N32 (Nvidia chipset) board?

Edit: is there anyway to switch my video card to the 2nd PCI express port? Perhaps *gulp* the first slot is dying ?

There are NO dead pixels in this monitor. I just remember I had the same issue with my old monitor, it'd be impossible to have dots in the same spot.

Here is what I noticed. On websites with black backgrounds I see a bunch of blue dots... I zoomed in to show you more details.

I have a feeling my video card is dying. That's great, I love wasting $500. Thanks Nvidia. It's out of warranty too, and MSI's website sucks.

Here's another screenshot. Zoomed in.

It appears on any black screen. Could it be a bad DVI cord? This just doesn't make sense. Help anyone :(

When I scroll down this page, more and more appear.
