I know the HD3850 will outperform the 8600gts, but take a look at these prices, tell me if you think is a better bang for your buck. They will both run almost anything i throw at them, and whats the difference between 120fps and 160fps? Hardly noticeable at those levels.
Newegg.com - XFX PVT84GUDD3 GeForce 8600GTS 256MB 128-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported XXX HDCP Video Card - Retail
$109 after rebate and include company of heros ^.^
Newegg.com - GECUBE GC-HD3850PG3-D3R Radeon HD 3850 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Retail
$149 after rebate.

The reason im into value, is because im only 15, and I wanna build up my computer for gaming, without having to save up for a **** year for it. Plus, you always need money to buy games to play on them aswell.

I just read that email to, thats a good deal, but the GTS will outperform that to some extent, and for 109 for the GTS, thats something i can afford.

Anyone got benchmarks of fps stats of either card?

Edit:
ATI Radeon HD 3870 and 3850 Hands-On - Features at GameSpot
3dmarks HD3850 ~9000, 8600GTS ~6000
Framerates, HD3850 has almost double or atlest got 150% of the 8600gts on many framerates i have found around the net.

Right now im going to say im going with the HD3850, 8600gts only if money is an issue.

Second Edit:
Any cards that will perform between these, that are under $150?

No, the 8600gt and gts is a waste of cash. 3850 hands down.
