I have a ds3r, but can get my hands on a trade for a brand new XFX nForce 680i LT SLI. I like the two pcie ports. Is the 680i a good board? current spec's in my sig.

Keep the ds3r unless you want to go SLI.

Im using a 6200 pci card for my two side monitors. But if i got the 680i, i could use my spare 7600gs. So wouldent it be better to use the 7600gs? or is the 680i board less of a board and/or have bad points or anything

The 680i boards are basically tossing the dice. If you get a good board, its a great platform, but if you get a bad board, they are known for killing ram and frying. TBH the -only- reason to use an nvidia based chipset is for SLI, otherwise stick with an intel based chipset. If you really need 2 pci-e slots you can always pick up a ds3p or ds4.
