This is my first time building a computer. I want awesome gaming computer. I plan to get all the parts for it over the next few months. If i could get some ideas of what to put in it(motherboards etc..) i would greatly appreciate it :D

Nice, well i'm still a noob, but I knew they would ask that. You will get some great advice here :)

If you have no budget then don't just get parts over the next couple of months. Talk it over with the regulars here such as myself and we will help you put together a build that you will find awesome and not as much mula as you may think.

1500-2000 will get you a top of the line gaming PC and 800-1000 will actually give anyone pretty much a very good gaming experience.

Just remember though that if you want the best and to get the best value out of your parts plan to overclock....it's very simple and safe now.

Oh ok thanks. What kind of Ram should i get? One that has more memory but less speed or more speed but less memory?? Im thinking More memory and less speed.

nope the opposite. With ram you are looking to get fast ram with the best PC. 2GB is enough on XP however if you are gaming with Vista you can look to spend around $160+ for 4GB of quality ram. Which is not bad at all considering a year ago one stick of similar stuff was $120+.

You will want a quad-core and an excellent heatsink and fan to go with it.
As well as if you want the best SLI of two of the best cards such as 8800GTS (G92) or 8800GT's. Buying two of the most expensive card is a waste of money.

Okay thanks. So i should get cheap Ram or more costly ram? Is there a difference?

Heres something I came up with:

total price:About $1350, $1250 after rebates. Still need a 64 bit OS, monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Looking at about $1500.00
