video card or cards?

would a two card geforce 8800GT sli setup be allot better then a single geforece 8800GTS 512mb?

It would be more money, but I wonder if the performace would be worth getting two of a cheaper card.

the 8800 gt on its own out dose the gts so sli it and it should be sweet

ahh ok

from what i know when the 8800 gt came out it beat the **** out of the 8800 gts 320mb and 640mb, i kind of forgot about the newer 512mb version

I would stick with a single 8800GTS myself, can play any game out there at pretty high settings, and you dont have to fidle with SLI or 680i boards. As well when a new games comes out you have to wait forever for nvidia to release a "patch" to allow SLI to work properly

2 GTs will beat a GTS 512, but the GTS 512 is a better solution, in my opinion.

and the gts 512 is not too much money. Unless you want to max out crysis, which you cant do with sli GT anyway, the GTS 512 should cut it.
