easier for your mobo to oc. But it might not even reach the e2160 speeds. I have trouble getting mine passed 3.4 I think it was veedub that had the same problem. Took us a boat load of vcore to get passed 2.9 which can run stock all day long 9 hours prime.

Do I absolutely need an after-market cooler or is the stock adequate?

thats a good cooler, yeah. Will it fit in your mATX case?

I don't know. I didn't see any size specs on either the newegg spec page or the rosewill spec page. My mATX case is a minitower and quite big for mATX. Here it is:

im building 2 budget builds and i went with the e2180 and ds3l(on sale now)

although for the 2nd build, i might just get the e2200.

The Xigmatek cooler I linked you to is much, MUCH better than the Arctic Freezer
