RAM Problems.

I currently have this in my system....

256MB DDR SDRAM PC 2700

I also have this extra....

512MB DDR PC2700

I try and throw in the 512 with the 256 but it doesn't start.

So I try throwing in the 512 alone and that doesnt work...

Can anyone help me?

the 512 stick must be bad. Or not 2700. It could be a number of things. If you are certain that it is 2700, and that your board handles 2700, then I would say that you got yourself a bad stick of ram. What brand is it?

Its AZENRAM.

And yes its PC2700 ram, it says right on the stick.

It must be bad then, since you said you tried it by itself and it doesn't eevn work then.

Darn. I don't even have my reciept for the ram anymore though. I just found it again..

Any suggestion on what to do with it?

sell it on eBay buy exactlly matching stick (manufacturer, latency, and size)
