Remember i have a tight budget and plz do make recommendations for better parts even though it might be more expensive. but not outrages recommendations :)

and tell me if the links work =)

i don't really think the mobo's that good because i don't think it "officially" supports ddr400 but could u guys give me any other products?

Your setup should be able handle the games out there now, the only thing I would suggest is upgrading the 9800 pro 128 MB to the 256MB. You could go with the Asus K8V, but thats just a suggestion from an Asus fan.

i am also a asus mobo fan.. and there really not a whole lot more.. like 30 bucks for the good ones..

but kv8 is for athlon 64, not athlon xp so i can't go for that. i decided to switch to a nf7-s instead of nf7-m because it supports sata and ddr 400 "officially"

okay i made some huge changes

I got asus "k8v"

athlon 64 2800+

160gb 7200 rpm 8mb cache hard drive

2x 512mb kingston pc3200 ram

a 17" 1600x1200 max resolution monitor

500 w power supply

oh yeah, i made another change that i forgot to list

radeon 9800 pro 256 mb. ha

is the asus k8v better, the asus k8v se delux, or the asus k8n-e better??? please tell me

y u still want to get a CDROM while u already have DVD/CDRW combo drive?
just get a DVDROM n a DVD burner.

i want to burn music cds and in order to do that, i need two cd roms. i was thinking of getting a dvd burner but i wouldn't use it and it would go over my budget.

btw, how long does it take to burn a dvd??

dude, don't get kingston, get corsair/mushkin/geil/ocz any of those. i have a cd rom and dvd burner, it works fine. i watch dvds on my burner lol
