Fujitsu Siemens Laptop: CD Drive Problem

Hello, i havent had a Problem in Ages untill now lol.

Right, My CD/DVD drive in my Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Li 1705 seems to be playing up.. Its Fine at burning data etc onto CD's and DVD's but i think its when it comes to Reading a CD it starts making these weird Noises like it wants to Spin and then makes Weird noises

Not sure what it is..

I think you just have dust in there
since the burning spins slower....maybe spinning up makes it come into contact with the dusty parts...like a clogged artery

Do you think i should try a CD Lens cleaner ?

i'm not sure...I had that in my head...but often those things won't fit in a laptop optical right? Though, they may have them for laptops...get something to blow air in there.

but also, are these discs you are reading standard? they don't have some kind of adhesive paper layer on them do they? like a decal of sorts?

Reminds me of my wedding dvd, it makes this funky paper shuffling noise in my asus laptop...slot load optical. "Normal" discs without this extra fatness don't do it

That compressed air thing he was using is similar to my Dads compressor lool

But whilst he was spraying the compressed air.. surely it would damage the lens in some way ?
