XFX. Always. Free game + overclocks like mad no problem. Lifetime warranty too.

Transferable Lifetime warranty...unlike EVGA...so if you buy a used EVGA card and it messes up your SOL

i was under the impression evga had the best warranty, that covers evrything beside actual physical damage, even if you overclock.
I dont know about the XFX warranty, does that cover overclocking? What abou BFG?

dont u think i should get the 3870 though? it has gddr4 and higher mem/ core clock. Remeber, i WILL be upgarding soon

you guys still say the XFX 8800GT 512mb? Will it be a big upgrade from my x1600pro 512mb? I also read that the 3870 has a crappy fan, dont want to deal with that. thanks again for all the sudgestions from everyone

someone on craigslist offered me 230$ for it, just opened without accesories though (do i even need them) and can my stock PSU power an 8800GT?
it puts out 12v@18a
I offered the guy $180... that would kick *** if he does it.

what size monitor do you have? It wouldn't make sense to spend more money on a card and play at 1680x1050. the GT or the 3870 is plenty for that.

19inch widescreen highest i would probably go is 1440x900.

Its a hugeeee upgrade. In fact, you can get the 256mb version that i have which performs the same up until 1680x1050, and youre only gonn abe at 1440x900 anyways. Either would more than double youre performance.

If you intend on playing in 1440 for awhile you should look at the lower cards.
