Disk Boot Failure

now if you want to fix this. you need 1 or 2 things. a disc cloner (this would be fastest. a bart pe cd will work too and it's free) and or the xp cd.

1. clone the drive or use bart pe to copy your files over. reinstall xp on the sata. copy those files back over

or

2.you would have to install xp back on the ide drive (set it to boot first). then you would have to copy your files that you want back over to it (to My documents folder). now set the sata to boot first. reinstall xp on it. copy those files back to the new my document folder
 
Thank you very much for that. I really do appreciate your help. I was just frustrated earlier and like I said I didn't mean to offend.

Anyway, my main concern in formatting was the chance I could lose my data. But I suppose since the recovery console could recognize the new install of XP that my data is still intact on that new drive.

I'll let you know how it goes.
