8800GT/GTS or ATI 3870?

in about 2 months i plan on buying new everything, just need somthing for now that i can carry over to next PC. Will probably get water cooling and crossfire video cards later.

~$200 shipped for a 3870...it will perform almost 95% identical to the 3870x2...the difference in FPS is single digits

so... WHAT VIDEO CARD DO I GET???!!!?? lol im thinkin the 3870 cuz its more around my price range (Diamond version probably) I just want a card that will run new games no problem. there will be a pc upgrade soon for me.

hmm just looked at bench marks... says 8800GT is better lol GAH!!! Should i get the 8800gt or the GTS? soo many choices!

Get the GT 512 and don't look back, you wont be disappointed. I get the feeling you will be if you go 3870. $250 shipped plus you get Company of Heroes with it...or $245 shipped for the EVGA with no game.

XFX. Always. Free game + overclocks like mad no problem. Lifetime warranty. (the one I bought was the 600mhz/900mhz one, see sig for what it plays at now with no problem).
