Just built it, what now?

k i just built my computer:

Antec 900
Intel core 2 duo 3.00 ghz
Asus EAH3870
Maximus formula
WD Raptor 75 gb
WD 500 gb
Dominator 2 Gb
syncmaster 245B

What now, what drivers do i install.
also i didnt plug in the 500 gb hard drive until after i installed the OS (vista home premium) and i cant find it under COMPUTER how do i make windows recognize it.

in case your wondering this cost me 2000 CAN

Go to all individual manufacturers and get their latest drivers.

Open up BIOS and make sure SATA port 2 is enabled, and make sure to format the drive.

-Right click on my computer
-manage
-Under storage, go to disk management
-You should see your unpartitioned/format drive with ~465 GB space, create a new partition on that drive and once the format completes you can use it.

edit: oh wait, you've got vista. This is how you do it on xp, not sure if it works like that on vista.

Well first start with the Chipset drivers and Video Card Drivers off AMD's site

for the HD, mess with the BIOS settings, see if its being recognized there

Just get the drivers for your graphics card all your peripherals (keyboard, mouse, etc.) Download all the updates for your operating system. If you have a sound card, download drivers for that too.

Oh and a tip, when you list your computer hardware it would be wise not to rely only only ghz. You have to also list what model. A quad-core might have the same ghz as a dual core.

he did the build like a month ago, I doubt its the e8500, but that is a possiblity

Just make sure to install all the newest updates/drivers possible and you will be set

k its all done, i bought everything 3 days ago, got the e8400 it was $200 dollars at memory express.
