Ok so im going through the posts, and i start noticing a pattern. Mainly 700+/1500+ on ur guys 8800GTs. How is this possible without blowing the card, i mean even with a dedicated cooler, according to NVmonitor and other probes this seems like suicide...

For one, every processor whether it's a GPU or CPU, they're just like a snowflake in the sense that they're all unique. What works wonders for one persons proc might not work at all on yours. Now, you could be looking at two extremes here. Whoever you're comparing to could have gotten pretty lucky with a well made chip, whereas you got the shaft and a rather poor overclocking chip.

Then again it could be factory error in the sense that the cooler you're using isn't attached perfectly.

What are your temps and your attempted speeds?
