OCing 9800 pro

Ati 9800 pro (couldnt edit title =/)

I overclocked my GPU a year ago but i didnt leave it OC'd b/c i didnt need it for any game i was running and i was scared about the temp since it doesnt have a readable temperature sensor. Tho ive heard the card will de-clock or shutdown if it gets too hot before it damages itself. My brother had this same card and his fan on the heatsink broke and it would just reboot the computer if it got too hot, until he replaced the heatsink.

So now I want to OC again since its aging noticeably until i buy a new system this summer. What do you guys think of OC'ing without being able to read the temperature?

Go for it bro, ive done it on a fx5200 w/o a temp sensor. id just have your case open well you test frequencys out and use you hand to judge temps.

ya, if its overheating hard core like you will feel it...

But ya go overclock...
