Fastest Processer for this Mobo?

If I were to get a whole new mobo + cpu what would be suggested?

Basically my setup is still in my sig. (Dodgy ain't it!)

whats your budget?
are you going to overclock?

my budget is $500AUD max for both mobo and cpu. Probably no overclocking as I don't know how to yet.

Yeah your RAM won't transfer over to a new motherboard. But 2x1gb can be had for like $40. I don't know about prices for people outside the US so I can't be of much help.

if ur not gonna overclock go out and buy one of those Comps that have the q6600 already in them... anywhere from 2-3 gb of ram, and come with usually a 8400 gs...


All you would have to do is replace that video card and theres your rig

He could just get a e4500, gigabyte ds3, 2gb ocz, and a 3850 for 500 AUD. You could use the old case, power supply, and hard drive.

thats the worst thing a PC builder could do in my opinion is skimp on PSU's as says the Techies bible ..... Thou shall not skimp on thy PSU's
