Accumulation of Temporary (~*.ts) Files ???

Hello...

One of our managers at work...who is running Windows XP Pro...seems to be accumulating ~*.ts files on his computer, without documents actually being open in the process.

He understands that XP (or maybe the app itself, I don't know) saves files temporarily, at various points in time, while working on any given open document...but he's winding up w/ more & more of these on his machine & doesn't recognize the file names as documents that he had recently opened & worked on. I told him I would look into it for him.

While this is true that Microsoft Office does save the files are a interval it does not explain why they are accumulating. They should go away once Office is shut down. If he is running Office at all. Need a bit more info on what is current running on the system and if any measures to protect the PC are in place.
