There's a noticeable price difference between these two TV sizes. I'm just wondering if it's worth spending the extra money for a mere 5" more?

I did that already. I just like to get feedback from what others say about the size difference. I barely see the difference myself.

hmm, I would say there's a difference.

not sure how this will look...let's see:

Well i had this same question when i bought my 42" tv. It was another 500 to go from 42 > 50, and i have regretted not doing it ever since.

Yes. The 42 was 2800 the 50 was 3200. Mind you, this was when rear projection lcd's were first released. I have a first gen sony wega.

Ok, I'm going 37" then. I like to be able to use it eventually as computer monitor too. Maybe I could hook up a switch to it so I can alternate between TV mode and PC mode.

I had the 32 inch version of my current tv, but opted to take it back for the 37 inch. It's not too big, and not too small.
