$1000 for PC, optimal items?

My Corsair PSU is one of the HX series. I assume the leads are the same length as the VX ones, but you never know...

With an Antec nine hundred, the only stretched lead is the top Mobo power supply, and then only because I am trying to get it to tuck around the out side and over the fan. Is a smallish problem, but you'll prolly be OK. Still the Antec isn't the be-all-and-end-all by any means, its just a very popular choice.

I would advise going with an 8800 GTS 512 if you are worried about the noise- the GTs can be a little loud.

Otherwise, the above suggestions look pretty good to me.

its about time someone shuts him up! and congrats vern on your recent sticky!

well why get the antec 900, sure its a good case, but everyone gets it.
take a look at the CM-690...more space, good cooling and the corsair 520hx will reach your components with no problem.

Thanks for the advice guys. Final questions:

Also, is going dual video cards an option? Would that be cheaper? What about performance/reliability?

What do you think about this memory? It seems to have really good latency.
Newegg.com - G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail

its not bad, but the problem is most recent CPU's won't let you use that RAM, because they would use the DDR2 ram instead
