As I do pretty much every day I look at daily deals at a select few sites. Woot.com has a HP Pavilion Elite m9040n Desktop Computer. I was thinking about either scrapping some parts or just buying and reselling the PC on ebay. The ram sucks, but there are a few other good things in it. The Quad is obviously good. I'm sure I could pull $1000 on it or so. What do you guys think?

To newcomers: Im sure weve discussed that that video card couldnt power a 22inch piece of plastic. Its slow, and its not even the 512mb version of a very ****** card. Never ever buy anything with anything under a 8800 in the 8 series. EVER.

Back to your delema: I think it would be okay with a better card if you were to keep it as your own pc, But as parts i still dont think you will make much of a profit.

because that sound card i beleive is integrated to the motherboard, the cpu is most likely not a G0, alot of people are scoping those out, i think theres an issue with signing over a windows key (not to sure so dont trust me), Tv tuner cards are pretty cheap now adays and the same with hd's.

But:You'd be surprised how many people want a brand name case, lol.
