oh ok, i think i found the problem, the version of windows i just installed has like 80 files missing but continues to install if i tell it to skip, im guessing that will make a difference, i might try network install, hopefully it will work, i dunno how to do it, but im sure my mate will

i think i need a real version of xp, it has soo much missing its surprising, when i reinstalled it it told me about 80 files couldnt be copied, so i think a network install is the best idea for me now.
