Also are you sure that no Amd compares to this core 2 duo?

I have just been a fan of amd's for a while, and would hate to go back to intel, unless the core 2 duo is better then any amd for the price.

I would get the 3600+ and save some cash. I hear there are good buys on some of them on ebay, that is, unless of course, you were bidding on your own sell. God. I'd hate to see how that would go.

3600+ isn't even a dual core. Also I guess I should've mentioned that I have an amd athlon 64 X2 4200+ AM2 and I want to upgrade to something much faster.

its easy to overclock to 3.0ghz because of its Brisbane Core and the 65nm it has

Yes the E8400 should be better than any AMD dual core especialy if you overclock it.
