my computer now uses the IDE connectors, and i was wondering if it would be possible for me to get a SCSI Ultra 320 68 Pin hard drive and be able to use it on my system

its a card, but has 2 outlets to connect to SCSI drives. and ur mobo transfers data b/w SCSI and Mobo via this PCI slot.

any more confusion, do not hesitate, this forum is actually for clearing confusions.

ah, no i dont have one then, would ya be kind enough to post a link to one please, if not then just tell me where to look

as SCSI is going a littel older now, so you might not find a new, as newer technology is with S-ATA conectors.

still lemme find ones for you on eBay,

what is ur location btw? so that i can be specific.

either USA/Canada/UK?

ok, hree i got a new thing as well :)

that u can insert your IDE cable into your SCSI through this interface:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=31494&item=3494383764&rd=1

else the PCI cards I was talking about, you can find here:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=39969&item=5109120651&rd=1

and also:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=39969&item=5109824969&rd=1

this is just an example, to let u know, how this thing sactually works with PCI.

you got cleared? still not, NP. ASK

so for the bottom 2 all i would have to do was connect the scsi cables to the card and have the card plugged in and it would work right?

and if u know, whats the part that comes out the side of the card for (the part that will be exposed to the outside)
