I don't agree that HD3870 is better in muti-GPU setup. This is questionable

we will see when i get my cards, my rig is very comparable to vdubs, especially once i get my new cards, and lap my q6600 because we have the same vid.

That's a deal on the 8800gt. It'll probably go up. Plus, with the 4000 series on the way, and the 3870x2, AMD might do a price cut.

The 8800gt at NCIX is out of stock. NCIX's cheapest option for shipping is $15 so that = 240 shipped vs 3850 w/512 DDR3 = 196 shipped. I think I will stick with ATI the performance loss shouldnt be to bad if i throw on some ram heatsinks, apply some Shin Etsu with the Zalman cooler and OC it.
