neweggs pricing on intel cpus...

ok... so i have been looking through newegg a good bit lately.

wtf has happened to the prices on newegg, or am i an idiot and missing some major underlying factor.

this used to be much less:

the only difference i see is that the e6700 has a FSB of 1066 where as the 6750 has a FSB of 1333, so therefore wouldnt the 6750 be worth more and perform better?

anyways, just wanting to know what makes these seemingly less powerful processors worth so much more.

I think the e6700 was a really good overclocker because of unlocked multi or just a high multi. Thats why it costs more. The other stuff is supply and demand and Newegg auto calculates price.

they still are good but all of em are b2 steppings, and are gonna stay that price to trick out the n00bs who buy them over the newer stuff out, also the e6700 has a 10x Multiplier

in fact if you go take a look at Pentium D's a lot of em are still in the same range that they'd be when they were popular (well kind off...) Same goes with any Extreme Edition processor by Intel
