No sound with media files

Media files don't work on any application. And it's not just music. Podcasts won't plan in iTunes either. And again, for video files....I can see the video, but I can't hear it. And there is that message blocking the video.

Is this for all media files. Even ones you can download right now. Or just ones you ahve saved on your PC?
