the other one was deleted so rewrite the question, but if i think what your asking is a good cooler for an Athlon x2 6400+ I'd say if your on a $20 budget the Arctic Freezer Pro64 is great

just for the cooler suggested by vernong about a week ago, and i have almost the same cpu as you, the 6000.

im happy with it, it took idle temps from 41 to 35 and load temps from 57 to 48.

there isnt a whole lot of headroom for overclocking with these 90nm cores, so there isnt much point in investing in much more, or at least thats how i looked at it.

ohh yea, those new temps include the mild OC i put on my cpu, its @ 3240, but i didnt change the voltage at all, so i guess thats to be expected lol.

he said keep it under $1000000000000, maybe we should recommend phase change haha

Well....I have a 6400+ and.....

I cool it with a Zalman CNPS9700. I get idle temps around 28 C and under load its about 37 C. I love it. But again, it is $60 I think, so if you don't want to break the bank, go with the artic freezer.
