M mark1413 Baseband Member Messages 98 Location USA Jan 20, 2008 #1 well... as i was looking through the bios today, i realized that my dvd drive is the master, and my HDD isnt even the slave, its on "SATA PORT 5"... lol. does this matter? what does making it master do?

NosBoost300 I poop on the rug Messages 10,220 Location Bellflower, CA Jan 20, 2008 #2 well.. thats cuz master and slave would be w/ an IDE cable.... while your HDD is going through your SATA ports.. and you have it plugged in your 5th port.. there's nothing wrong here
